Service Description
Reach out to book. Group mushroom forays are a great way to get your team out into nature, build better bonds, and learn about fungi in an ecological setting. Search a forest landscape for mushrooms, uncover their ecosystems, and learn to identify edible varieties. General format of the foray includes: 1. Brief introduction to the area, the instructor(s), and subject matter. 2. 90-120 minutes foraging excursion with expert guidance on where to find mushrooms, knowledge on what to look for, and how to find them. 3. Identification table. We will place all specimen and together learn about what species are what, ID what is edible, and learn what makes each mushroom unique. Bring proper footwear (closed toed shoes with moderate ankle support and good tread), dress appropriately for weather, and an extra pair of socks never hurts. Pack a lunch for yourself and/or for others. There will be no food provided. Feel free to organize a potluck for all participants.
